I’m Emma Wood and I’m the owner of eternally maternal. 

A little about me,  I’ve spent over 3 decades working in the NHS as a dual qualified Registered Nurse & Midwife. I am also a qualified nurse prescriber, NIPE practitioner, Hypnobirth teacher and Acupuncture practitioner. 

Whilst working in the NHS from 1991 I’ve also been a mum birthing and raising 4 beautiful children of my own.

I am passionate about women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, newborn health and maternal postnatal care. 

This is why I offer bespoke care, including expert advice, support and education. As you can imagine, in a 30 year career in healthcare I’ve seen many different situations.

My vision is to be able to combine this knowledge and expertise, adding even further with acupuncture to provide a supportive environment for my client families that goes beyond expectation and provides a holistic range of services. 

My appointments give plenty of time to work through any anxieties, explore medical and holistic options, whilst providing loving support and helpful education along the way.

Investing in a private, independent midwife isn’t possible for everyone, but for those that can its a powerful decision that allows for time and space to build a trusting and caring relationship with a professional maternity care giver.
